英语的毕业典礼演讲稿篇1

that is why this summer, at the g20 conference, the united states and japan were founding members of a bold, new initiative with the world bank – the women entrepreneurs finance initiative. this facility is the first of its kind to empower women entrepreneurs in developing countries. it will provide access to the capital, networks, and mentorship needed to thrive and will dramatically impact the ecosystem of women’s entrepreneurship globally.

and we are just getting started!

as we gather in tokyo today, i can’t help but think of some of the great women pioneers in this country who have inspired our generation.

women like yoshiko shinohara

she survived world war two, started as a secretary and went on to open a small business in her one-bedroom apartment. her company grew into a world renowned business in over a dozen countries. today, as you all know, yoshiko is japan’s first female self-made billionaire. now, she helps young people afford the education they need to pursue their dreams and contribute to society.

because of pioneers like yoshiko, women in this country – and around the world – aspire to greater feats, climb to higher positions, and pave new pathways forward.

today, we are redefining success. we’re discarding the old formula of the ideal woman-the ideal worker -the ideal mother. we are helping to shape a more realistic and complete picture of what it is to be a woman who thrives – and who helps her business, community and family do the same.

the fact is, all women are &lworking women.&r whether they make the commute to work each morning, or spend each day with their children at home, or some combination of both. truth be told, on sunday nights, after a messy and wonderful weekend with my children, i am far more exhausted than on friday evenings, after a long week of work at the office. i deeply admire women who choose to work inside the home raising their children and respect this decision.

good morning, everybody!

in this world, there is one thing that is very fair to everybody, whether you are a male or female, young or old, rich or poor. does anybody know what it is called?

right. it is time. the topic i am going to present to you today is called &l treasure every minute&r.

the clock is running. make the most of today.

to realize the value of one year, ask a student who failed a grade.

to realize the value of one month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

to realize the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

to realize the value of one hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

to realize the value of one minute, ask a person who missed the train.

to realize the value of one second, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

to realize the value of one millisecond, ask the person who won a silver medal in the olympics.

treasure every moment that you have! and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with.

and remember that time waits for no one. yesterday is history. tomorrow is a mystery. today is a gift. that's why it's called the present!! the clock is running. make the most of today.

good luck, everybody!

英语的毕业典礼演讲稿篇3

dear leaders, teachers, parents, dear students

hello everyone!

today is an unforgettable and celebratory day. after five years of hard work, the students here have successfully completed their primary school study. they are about to bid farewell to their golden childhood and enter a new journey. first of all, on behalf of all the teachers in the primary school, let me express my heartfelt congratulations to you.

at this moment, looking at your innocent and happy smiling faces, my eyes seem to emerge every bit of your school. five years, we walk hand in hand, the small classroom, sprinkled our laughter, wrote down the figure of our struggle, engraved our heroic oath. we get along day and night. we are teachers and students in class and friends after class. we have established a deep relationship between teachers and students. looking back on the past five years, it seems that it happened yesterday, and every teacher will never forget: the first time you walked into the beautiful and tidy dormitory, lying on the comfortable cot, that excited look; when you first put on the red scarf under the bright national flag, you look solemn; after your own extracurricular learning, you can show your artistic talents on the stage; you use your diligence to repay the teachers fruitful results: in all kinds of competitions held throughout the country, you have achieved good results many times and won many praises for the school! in the past five years, in the fertile soil of nanshan bilingual school primary school, with the care of school leaders and the careful cultivation of teachers, and with the active cooperation and strong support of parents, you have grown into a vigorous youth.

school is not only the cradle of your growth, you are here to fly the ideal, sowing hope. but today, you are going to bid farewell to your alma mater. the teacher sincerely hopes that you can open up a new situation in the new semester and write your wonderful learning life with a never say die self-confidence! bill gates, the king of computer software, once said: "the secret of my success is not to do something, but to understand what i dont do..." so the teacher hopes that you can distinguish right from wrong, abide by the law, make good use of your words and deeds, and be an upright person.

the reason why eagles fly high and fly freely in the blue sky is that they have a pair of hard wings that have been honed by storms, cold and heat. may you fly high bravely like eagles to welcome a brighter tomorrow and embrace the more dazzling sun.

finally, i hope you can use the green of youth to brew a rich golden autumn in the future!

i wish you success in your studies and a bright future!

英语的毕业典礼演讲稿篇4

as i said, my grandfather was a pastor for 50 plus years, leading the civil rights movement and marches, desegregating the public transit system and helping the first african-american policemen secure steady jobs. my father was a physician, one of only 100 black doctors in atlanta when he started his practice, and my mother was a civic leader who co-founded a coalition of neighborhoods across segregated communities.

following in the tradition of my elders, i pursued a role in public service as president of the city council and you heard that i served for six years. as the leader of the legislative branch of municipal government, i learned all the mechanics and the operations of the city. and when it was time for my next step, i threw my hat in the ring and ran for mayor.

i entered as the front runner with the highest name recognition. i raised a ton of money, i knocked on tens of thousands of doors. that said, there were issues along the way; my parents became ill – my father with the ravages of diabetes and two amputated legs and my mother diagnosed with the early onset of dementia – and i decided i needed to withdraw from the race to look after them.

but my father, he wasn’t having it. he told me i need to step up! that i should return to the race and try to get elected and give back to the city that had given us so much. but by then, my campaign’s momentum was gone. i lost the race and i was absolutely devastated. every question you can possibly image went through my head. had the people of atlanta forgotten me? had they forgotten all the work that i had done? did they lose faith in me? were they disappointing [disappointed]?

i started my journey in california with a uc berkley 30-year

longitudinal study that examined the photos of students in an old yearbook and tried to measure their success and well-being throughout their life. by measuring their student smiles, researchers were able to predict how fulfilling and long-lasting a subjects marriage will be, how well she would score on standardized tests of well-being and how inspiring she would be to others. in another yearbook, i stumbledupon barry obamas picture. when i first saw his picture, i thought that these superpowers came from his super collar. but now i know it was all in his smile. nother aha! moment came from a 20xx wayne state university research project that looked into pre-1950s baseball cards of major league players. the researchers found that the span of a players smile could actually predict the span of his life. players who didnt smile in their pictures lived an average of only years, where players with beaming smiles lived an average of almost 80 years.

in september 1974, kingman brewster, then president of yale, spoke to members of the class of 1978, seated right where you are now. he told them, &lmany of us have just been on a ten-year trip of moral outrage: anti-wallace, anti-war, and anti-watergate. we have been so sure about what we were against that we have almost forgotten how difficult it is to know what we are for and how to achieve it.&r

does this sound familiar? today, perhaps more than ever, it is easy to know what you’re against. and it’s far more difficult to say what you’re for.

what we’re against is going to be different for each of us. maybe you’re against border walls and i’m against guns; your neighbor is against trade wars and your cousin is against abortion. for some, capitalism is the problem, while others fear the specter of socialism. by this point, i bet all of you are against sitting in old buildings with no air conditioning, listening to a long speech! so, i’ll get to the point…

how many of you have ever seen a marx brothers movie? [right, pretty good.] so, although i’m not mistaken for groucho marx as often since i shaved my moustache, i…i still do…do have a weakness for his humor.

and one of groucho’s best performances, of course, is when he plays a college president. (it is a funny role!) so, in the opening scene of the movie horse feathers, groucho, the new president of huxley college, is told that the trustees have &la few suggestions&r for him. then he breaks into this song:

&li don’t know what they have to say

it makes no difference anyway

whatever it is, i’m against it

no matter what it is or who commenced it

i’m against it

your proposition may be good

but let’s have one thing understood:

whatever it is, i’m against it.&r
