一天，又到了英语课。这时候小明是胆战心惊，因为他并没有把一个单词完完整整地记住。但又令他们不幸的是，今天老师来了个突然袭击——单词大抽查。“小明，上讲台上去听写。”老师一声喊到，这时候似乎他的心都已经凉了一大截。他慢吞吞地走上去，他是多么想回到没被抽到时。站在讲台上时，他的双腿是抖个不停。但在写单词时，手更是抖个不停。不一会儿，一些乱糟糟的单词在他的笔下写出。“啊，他看着自己写的单词心想到，今天可真的是完玩了。”老师一看他写的单词，似乎头上都冒着火星。但小明可够机灵，主动地把手给伸出来。虽然他怕被老师打手心，但他想到是自己没去记。他是认识到自己的错误才主动伸出手的。老师打了他两板，他咬紧双牙，眼泪没流下来。
